VILLAGE OF SOUTH BEND
The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session February 7, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the Village Hall. Board Members present were: Connie Boldan-Cerveny, James Cerveny, and Chairman Patrick Cunningham, absent Brad Graham. The meeting notice was posted at Village Hall, Post Office, & Fuel Depot. It was noted where the “Open Meetings Act Poster” is posted. The minutes of the January meeting was read and approved with correction that Dave Mahrt was not present at the meeting, motion by C. Cerveny, 2nd by J. Cerveny, Vote all Aye. There is a Board position vacant and needs to be filled. Treasurer’s report was read. Bills presented for the Road Fund $170.16 OPPD (Street Lights), $300.00 JEO (prep. of road budget), $300.00 Gerald Snodgrass (snow removal x2). Bills presented for the General Fund $14.45 OPPD (Town Hall Lights), $52.18 Plattsmouth Journal, $550.00 American Legal Publishing (Basic Code Book) $45.00 Deb Cunningham (Administrative Fees), $5.32 Pat Cunningham (ice melt), motion to pay the bills by C. Cerveny, 2nd by J. Cerveny, Vote all Aye. Fiscal Street Report: Village needs to transfer $804.00 to Road Fund from General Fund for local matching funds for fiscal year. Motion by C. Cerveny to transfer $204.00 now, 2nd by J. Cerveny, vote all Aye. Building Permits: None Inspections Conducted: Report Read Planning Committee: No Report Town Hall Repairs: No Report Cemetery Board: No Report Ordinance Basic Code Book discussed, motion by C. Cerveny to pass Ordinance number 01-07, 2nd by J. Cerveny, vote all Aye. New Business: Letter from BNSF regarding the use of Spruce Street, IRS has raised mileage reimbursement rate to .485 per mile, One-Call Notification Act we have to send back letter stating that we are not responsible for any under ground utilities. Center for Rural Affairs tabled under next month, motion by C. Cerveny, 2nd by J. Cerveny, vote all Aye. Correspondences: The Skeeter news letter keep for contact on mosquito control.
